move cursor over thumbnails to enlarge Schools Projects Marymount International School, Kingston-upon-Thames Project Information Marymount International School, Kingston-upon-Thames Jubilee Mosaic Design Inspiration: the history of the school Age: 12 - 18, teachers and some parents For Marymount International School, the year 2005 celebrated 50 years of the school's existence at the Kingston site, although the history goes back much further. The school was keen that the mosaic reflected and celebrated it's history and that Pere Gaillhac, the founding father should be the centrepiece of the design. After the design day, Art Mosaic Design organised the drawings into a commemorative journey from Father Gaillhac's humble beginnings in France, to the symbols set around the school building representing present day school life. The border of flags represents all nationalities currently at the school and the words of the school moto were placed at the top of the design.
