move cursor over thumbnails to enlarge Schools Projects Nelson School Project Information Nelson School Bicentenary Mosaic Design inspiration: the bicentennial celebrations Age: 5 - 10 2005 was the bicentennial celebration of Nelson's death and the school wanted to commemorate its namesake with a celebratory mosaic. The whole school went down to Southampton to join in the official celebrations and the designs came from drawings produced by the children after the trip. Children from years 3, 4 and 5 took part and Richmond Family Learning supported after school sessions for parents and children working together. The mosaic was installed at the front of the school.
