move cursor over thumbnails to enlarge Schools Projects REDBOURN Infant & Nursery SCHOOL, Herts Project Information Wall Mosaic Design inspiration: in memory of beloved governor, David Hamilton Age: Nursery, Reception, Years 1 & 2 Time: 2 days design session + overall design and preparation, 1 week of workshops, 2 days installation Following the death of a much beloved governor, the family and school wanted to commemorate his life with something permanent and special and invited MOSAIC ART to create a mosaic with all the children in the school. The children drew pictures relating to school life, and the variety of the drawings reflected the depth of David's involvement in all school activities. The drawings were divided in to four areas: learning, creative activities, the world around us, and love and respect. In the centre of the mosaic, the school logo drew it all together with motto: "loving, learning and respecting all". The whole school took part in workshops to create the mosaic and AMD installed it onto the school wall. A special opening ceremony was held to celebrate and commemorate. We would like to thank the school and family for choosing us to lead this very special celebration of the life of a man who clearly touched many people's lives.
