| The aim of this project was to improve the plain white playground wall and create an inviting space for both children and teachers to spend their breaks. |
Funding: the children worked towards raising funds
by making Christmas cards and actively participating in other fundraising events. |
| The design was based on the 'natural world' and the children explored animals and plants in their nearby parks. |
| Mosaic workshops were set up at the school. The children learnt the basic skills of mosaicing and subsequently created some beautiful wildlife and plant features to be put on the wall. Mrs Kate Hargreaves, the school's very creative art teacher, produced an inspirational mural as a backdrop to the mosaic features. |
| Time: 2 days of workshops and 1 after-school club + 3 days of preparation and installation |
