move cursor over thumbnails to enlarge Schools Projects Roehampton Church School Project Information Roehampton Church School Noah's Ark Mosaic Project [created on marine ply boards] Design Inspiration: The story of Noah's Ark Age: Reception and nursery (3-7 years) The aim of this project was to develop an inspiring outside space, which could be used both as a classroom and quiet space. Funding was obtained for the mural, furniture, games and learning aids. For the design, the children studied the story of Noah's Ark and thought about the animals that went in it. Mosaic workshops were set up at the school where the children learnt the basic skills of mosaic and helped to put together the final artwork. The wall was painted to create a scene with the ark and the mosaic boards were fixed to it to create a mixed media mural covering the whole wall.
